Easter isn’t just one day, it is an entire season in the church calendar: from Sunday, April 21 through June 2, at which the Ascension of Christ is celebrated. During the forty days of Easter, the church reflects on what it means to embrace the mystery of Christ’s resurrection and ascension. These are not obvious, nor ordinary things. Christians do a disservice to the meaning of Easter if the story of Christ is presented as simple, or as a theology test to pass. We’re wading into the waters of mystery here–but the mystery has a message that points to the good news of God: That God is with us in times of trial and suffering, and that God’s power is to open new possibilities out of the chaos and pain of life. Join us as we enter into the mystery of Easter and Ascension, and then keep walking with us into the empowerment of Pentecost! Worship services are at 9:00 and 11:00 AM. Please see the calendar for more details!
