Find Your Voice and Share Your Love

Douglas Hearn | Monday Mar 24th, 2025

In a world where division and anger often take center stage, we are called to a higher purpose. Hate may be loud, but love is stronger. It is easy to feel discouraged when we see hatred spreading—whether in politics, communities, or even personal relationships. But we must remember that darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. We each have a voice, and we must use it to speak life, hope, and love into the world. Even in the face of adversity, choosing love is not a sign of weakness but of incredible strength.

Jesus reminds us in John 13:34, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” This is not a suggestion; it is a commandment. Love is not just a passive feeling—it is an active choice, a way of living that requires courage. We do not have to be silent when we see hatred, nor do we have to fight fire with fire. Instead, we are called to rise above, to respond with grace, and to show the world what true love looks like.

Now is the time to find your voice. Speak words of kindness when others choose cruelty. Stand up for those who are marginalized. Share a message of hope in a world that desperately needs it. Love is not just an abstract idea; it is something we live out each day through our words and actions. Hate will not win if we refuse to give it space in our hearts. Instead, let us choose love, let us amplify love, and let us be the hands and feet of Christ in a broken world.
