Scripture: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
Anticipation is not only about waiting for something new to begin—it’s also about becoming ready for it. Sometimes, God delays the next chapter not to test our endurance but to deepen our understanding of who we are and who we’re becoming.
In this sacred in-between, the Spirit refines us. What once felt like stagnation may actually be preparation. Like a tree in winter, we may not see the growth happening beneath the bark, but it’s there—roots stretching deeper, growing athering strength for spring.
When we embrace anticipation as holy work, we find peace in the process. Every waiting season becomes an act of faith in God’s timing and a practice in becoming more fully ourselves in Christ.
Prayer:
God of seasons, help us to see Your hand in every stage of becoming. Teach us to trust that waiting is not wasted when You are working within us. Amen.
