As with most things, our programming continues to change and evolve to incorporate the needs of the community. Our Annual Holiday Cheer event is no exception. Certainly, it is one of our most popular events. Therefore, we invite you to embrace the changes and join us on December 11, 2022 at 12:15.
What’s the same: we will still gather and share soup and bread, cookies and refreshments. We’ll have a sing-along in the sanctuary with some of your favorite Christmas music. You’re invited for fellowship with our members, friends of the church and community members for the sharing of holiday traditions.
What’ll be different: Instead of giving away decorative items, we’ll be asking that you help to provide children with a nice Christmas through an Angel Tree. Names and gift ideas are available now. You can get these from Tracy in the church office or off of the tree in Fellowship Hall.
Although, we have great fondness for the way we have run Holiday Cheer in the past, we have come to realize two things:
- After the pandemic shutdowns folks just want to be together. Getting a giveaway is nice but being together is better.
- Second, there is an enormous need for holiday help for families with children. For a number of reasons the need seems to be greater this year.
Please RSVP to the church office or click the “going” button on our Facebook event page.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
